Hospitality
technology,
applied to AI.

Independent advisory and hands-on work for hospitality operators, and the technology businesses that serve them.

From the river Isla in Angus.
Inver-: the mouth of a river. The point where one thing meets another.

Most operators know AI matters. Very few have a framework for what to do about it.

The technology stack is being reshaped faster than commercial teams can evaluate. Vendors are repackaging old features under new labels. The people advising on it are usually selling something, or theorising from outside the industry.

Inverisla exists to close that gap.

Three
ways to
work together.

Each is offered independently, but most relationships start with the audit and grow from there. Pricing on application.

01 / Diagnostic

AI Readiness
Audit

2–4 weeks · vendor-independent

A structured assessment across seven domains: data foundation, technology stack, AI visibility, operations, commercial and pricing, people and skills, and security.

Delivered as a written report, a prioritised roadmap, and a working session with your leadership team. The output is what to do next, not what to buy next.

02 / Ongoing

Fractional
advisory

3–12 months · quarterly review

Senior AI and platform thinking for hospitality groups working through vendor decisions and integration strategy, and for SaaS businesses shaping their AI roadmap.

Scope set up front, reviewed quarterly. The cost of a fractional engagement against the cost of a wrong vendor decision tends to settle the question.

03 / Hands-on

Implementation

Project-based or embedded

MCP server design and build, AI agent workflow design, integration architecture, and proof-of-concept work that moves an idea out of slideware.

Delivered solo for focused projects, with trusted collaborators for larger pieces. The technical work is mine, not subcontracted.

Built on operator experience, not theory.

Inverisla is led by Colin Winning. Fifteen years in hospitality technology, including a decade at ResDiary as CTO and then CEO, where the business doubled in ARR and went through acquisitions by Reef in 2022 and Access Group in 2023.

At Access, the role was commercial accountability for the combined reservations portfolio, and most recently platform strategy across a wider set of hospitality SaaS products.

The technical side is current rather than retrospective. Day to day that means building with Claude, Claude Code, Windsurf and Devin, running MCP servers in production, and shipping workflows that automate real operating tasks rather than demoing them. That combination is the position Inverisla works from.

Writing
on the shift.

A weekly series on LinkedIn covering what AI actually means for hospitality operators, and how to evaluate what your vendors are selling. Operator-to-operator, not consultant-to-prospect.

Why I'm writing about AI in hospitality.

Fifteen years inside the industry, and the last two have been the most interesting of all of them. An introduction to the series, and what it's trying to do.
